Pavouci představují nebezpečnou kořist, protože disponují jedem a hedvábným vláknem. Přesto jsou loveni některými specializovanými bezobratlými predátory, kteří pro lov této kořisti využívají pozoruhodných loveckých taktik. Takové chování jsme pozorovali u skálovky druhu Poecilochroa senilis (Gnaphosidae) z Negevské pouště, která násilně pronikala do úkrytů jiných pavouků.

Spiders are dangerous prey because they possess venom and silk. However, there are a few specialized araneophagous predators that utilize remarkable hunting tactics to capture spiders. We observed such a strategy in the ground spider Poecilochroa senilis (Gnaphosidae) from the Negev desert, which usurps the shelters of other spiders by way of coercive invasion.
