It is not so long ago that the use of radiotelemetry for studying animal biology and ecology was only applicable to vertebrates. However, recently developed radio transmitters are smaller and lighter, which opens up new opportunities for using this method to track insects in natural conditions. As an example, we present our study on the movement activity of the ground beetle Carabus ullrichii.
