The Yellow-legged Clubtail (Gomphus flavipes) is considered to be a species threatened with extinction in the Czech Republic. The occurrence of Gomphus flavipes (a female) in the Wallachia region (North Moravia, Czech Republic) was confirmed by the author. The dragonfly was found on the Bečva River near Choryně (mapping grid No. 6473c, 280 m above sea level) in a bird net on 1 September, 2005. This is probably the first recording of the species in this part of the Czech Republic.
